Tiffany & Co.—The 1837 Makers
Senior Graphic Designer
Tiffany & Co. expands their offerings with its inaugural men’s collection. The Tiffany 1837 Makers collection embodies an artisanal and utilitarian perspective that’s inspired by the jeweler’s hollowware workshop and its tradition of handcrafting sports trophies.
The Pop-Up
To celebrate the men’s launch, Tiffany & Co. opened pop-up store in the middle of The Grove in Los Angeles. The 200-square-foot pod showcases the new line, as well as some iconic American sports trophies.
The Trophies
Four of the sports world’s most prestigious trophies were displayed together as part of an effort to highlight Tiffany & Co.’s expanded men’s jewelry and accessories offerings.
NFL’s Vince Lombardi trophy
NBA’s Larry O’Brien Championship trophy
PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup trophy
USTA’s Men’s U.S. Open Trophy
That might sound like a brazen effort to appeal to sports-minded men, but it also draws attention to the fact that all four of the trophies were made by the 182-year-old luxury brand, a legacy that directly inspired some of the new men’s wares.
